Crochet Patchwork with Jane Crowfoot - 26th March 2011 [2865]
Saturday 26th March 2011, 10.30 am to 4.30 pm at Hummingbird Studio, 107 Havelock Road, Fiveways, Brighton, BN1 6GL. The price of the workshop includes materials, tea, coffee and biscuits plus 10% discount on any purchases or orders made from Kangaroo during the day. PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO LUNCH PROVIDED FOR THIS WORKSHOP SO PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SANDWICHES ETC.
The craft of crochet lends itself beautifully to the production of small pieces which can be stitched or crocheted together to create exciting pieces of crochet patchwork.
This workshop is aimed at those who already have a good knowledge of crochet stitches and can read a crochet pattern. Participants will learn how to design and make a few of their own motifs which will then be put together to create a small patchwork sample.
Participants will be shown how to add beads and sequins to their work, how to make bobbles and how to do a few essential finishing techniques.
Please bring along notebook and pen/pencil, some scissors, a knitters sewing needle and a 3mm crochet hook.
