Mystery Blanket Club workshop with Debbie Abrahams, 16th March 2011 [2844]
Wednesday 16th March 2011, 10.30 am to 4.30 pm at Hummingbird Studio, 107 Havelock Road, Fiveways, Brighton, BN1 6GL. The price of the workshop includes materials, tea, coffee and biscuits plus 10% discount on any purchases or orders made from Kangaroo during the day. PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO LUNCH PROVIDED FOR THIS WORKSHOP SO PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SANDWICHES ETC.
This workshop will give you the opportunity to meet Debbie and discuss any problems or queries that you have had with your Mystery Blanket squares. Advice and help will be given on all hand-knitting techniques including intarsia, fair isle, cables, bobbles, lace stitches, beads and sequins, sewing up (Mattress stitch) and picking up stitches. You are asked to bring along your yarn and squares that you have been sent so far and you will spend your time at the workshop working on any that you have not yet completed. It will be a fun and inspirational day spent with other Mystery Blanket Club members and Debbie that will be sure to set you well on your way with your squares!
Materials that you need to bring with you:
knitting needles: the ones that are used in the blanket
the contents of your packs, the knitted and the unknitted!
scissors
cable needle
sewing up needle (blunt-ended)
sewing needle (sharp-pointed)
and anything else that you have used so far in the project
